Hello again, folks! We have recently tested our “Floor is lava” level, did a few quick fixes and are pretty sure that it will work on our livestream. The stream itself is going to start at 6 PM GMT on Saturday, 23rd of August and last for about as long as we will be able to entertain you.
On the stream we’re going to play our demo level, maybe show some exclusive stuff, but most importatly answering questions, so be prepared to ask us EVERYTHING. And just to be sure that you’ll have a chance to ask something even if you won’t make it to the actual stream, you can leave a question under this post in “answer box” (which I personally call “a one-shot comment thingy”) or send a message on our inbox. And if you really want to write something big, we have a special e-mail adress for you: email@example.com.
We’re going to have a recording of the stream after it ends, so you don’t miss anything. See ya!
So the July has officially began and it looks like it’s going to be quite productive for our team. With each passing day we now actually get enough fixes to fill one of those June’s weekly posts, but this one will be dedicated to another theme – our visit to Crystal Fair in Finland.
The convention will take place from 4th to 6th of July and our artists and animator Lors and your faithful coder InvisiblePony are going to be there for all 3 days. We will have 4 laptops with the game running on Sunday, but if you happen to meet a guy with a big black-greyish bag and badge that says InvisiblePony, feel free to ask him for an early test run. Also on 5th of July between 13:45 and 14:30 we will be giving a presentation in Terrace Hall, where we will speak on the game and its future and also about ore game development experience as a whole. After the presentation and, actually, anytime during those 3 days you can ask us questions if you want to. In fact, you may ask them right away – here on Tumblr, so we’ll be able to include them in our presentation. I can’t guarantee a video recording of the event, but I’ll do my best to prepare a text version of the presentation and also throw in a few questions and answers.
Good day to everyone reading this message! My name is Invisible and I speak on behalf of Minions Creative Team – small indie game development team, which is currently working on 2D platformer Raycord Legends. Back in the autumn of 2013, when we came up with idea to make a Rayman Legends parody, we had two people in our team, a very raw project in Flash and a desire to make just one level. Now we have a playable (though buggy) mini-game for two players, which we successfully showed on big convention in Russia, we appeared on EQD and Equestria Gaming, gave a few interviews, and had our teaser in Top 10 Pony Videos of March. Moreover, we have been invited to Galacon in Germany and Crystal Fair in Finland. Needless to say, that none of this could be done without our fans, who have spread news about our game, commented on our flaws and successes and gave us all the feedback, that was driving us further for the past few months.
But we want to ask you about one more favor. With ever increasing interest to our game we figured out that we need to speed up our development process without dropping the quality (maybe we should even improve it). So, although we have got really used to our small, close-knit team, five beginner developers can’t possibly do a level per month or two, especially when they have work and studies and make their game in the free time. You have already seen our teaser, arts and screenshots, so you know what we can offer in terms of graphics. But now we need more people that can bring all our animations, backgrounds and music to live – we need programmers.
Things that we want from our programmers:
- Work via Skype, frequent appearance online, short reports on your work about 2-3 times a week. Keep in mind that most of our team lives in UTC +4 and our schedule is built according to our time zone!
- Meeting tight deadlines and being generally disciplined
- Knowledge of C#
- Experience in Unity 3D would be a big bonus
- We work with Git, so some experience with it would also come in handy
Send all questions and applications on this e-mail: firstname.lastname@example.org. Hope that we will be able to find enough volunteers to make our project better than what we have now. Thank you for your attention!
Report #1 -
Okay, so, as we’ve promised here is our weekly update on development! We had a lot of organization and planning to do for the past week, but we still managed to work on a few more visual things, which we can actually show to you.
First of all, here are a few sketches of enemies, that you very…
As you may have noticed, it has been a long time since the last update of our comic. First of all we would like to apologize for this and also for such a big delay before informing you about the current situation. It’s true that right now the work on the comic is frozen. However, it doesn’t mean that we are done with it. Every creative person or group has its ups and downs and right now we are not at the peak of our creativity. Moreover, life is going on, new activities and interests occur here and there, and occasionally the amount of free time, which we can spend on the comic, shortens. And though we’ve always updated at a steady (yet not very fast) pace, right now we have to take time out. We will continue as soon as we clear up a few things and regain a little more free time and inspiration.
There is one more thing that should be mentioned. Right now we are working at one more project, which is directly connected with the comic. We can’t say much about it, but it is big, takes a lot of time and is completely different from anything that we’ve done before. Hopefully it will come out really awesome too! We may post more information about it in a few weeks or so.
So thank you for your attention and for staying with us!
